Monkee Genes Turn Green

For my outfit this week I've chosen my favourite new colour of the Monkee Genes Organic Sateen range - the Olive Green Skinny Trouser. This colour is new and fresh and will see you into the new season when it arrives.

Here I've teamed it with the People Tree Holly Ruffle Top (available in blue stripe or red stripe) which is made from hand woven cotton in India. I don't think this outfit would be complete without a pair of retro trainers like our Veja Trainers. Here I've picked the White / Red Veja, but you have a choice of many different colours from our website. The look is finished with fair trade brass accessories from Just Trade - the Single Hoop Earrings and the Brass Bracelet.

Total cost of outfit: £194.00

Fun Festival Fashion

The festival season is upon us. So here's Equa's guide to looking fabulous in the fields.

Your festival wardrobe will work best if you combine practical elements with a good dash of fun. Playful prints such as this Luna Splash Dress by Julia Smith can be layered with leggings. Layering is the perfect solution to dealing with unpredictable British weather. The Jackpot Stavell cardigan is another great lightweight layer; keep it in your bag for chilly moments.

Jersey dresses are easy to wear and oh so comfortable. This
Emmy Lou Dress by Nancy Dee has a cute print with sunrays peeping put from behind clouds, so wear it when you think the sun needs some encouragement to get its hat on!

Don’t be afraid to mix and match your prints. Accessorise a
bold striped top with a pretty floral scarf, experiment and enjoy yourself!

At festivals my
re-usable shopper comes into its own. It rolls up like a piece of sushi so it’s no trouble to carry around, and it’s great for sitting on when the grass is damp or to chuck muddy clothes into at the end of the weekend. If it gets dirty it can be washed under the tap and will be dry in 10 minutes.

Have a great time and remember.. don't forget your wellies!

Equa in The Observer Magazine

We were very pleased to have not one, but two, beautiful ethical outfits from Equa featured in last week's Observer Magazine. The Jamie Playsuit by Nancy Dee, Outsider's Oversized Shirt Dress and the Nipi Belt by Kuyichi were all picked out by Observer fashion editor Jo Jones.
